January 7th, 2009

This morning I finally did it,

I updated my google charts and to my suprise (even though I have been chugging along) paying down debt just to see how far I have come since June is just amazing!!! I have no credit card debt!!! I have paid down some collections, and it does feel good to update those things. (Even though I am still trying to figure out how to get better graphs, but I will get there... TRUST)

So where do I go from here.....
I sort of feel that I am at a stalemate, I feel I no longer need to by money management books (which is really difficult for me because I love them) because I feel I have learned and done so much. But now my next step is starting to pay on my student loan which is about 13K, paying down my car, beefing up my e fund, and saving for my 2 week cruise in the Meditteranean in June!!! Oh yes I am so excited regarding that. And like I have continued to say I am working on blogging a little more. I have started working out at night, so that gives me a little more free time in the a.m.
So keep watching this should be an exciting year!!!

Recession Smacession!!! Awareness is key

Every morning I am at the gym watching the today show and Good Morning America Simultaneously and everyday there is more and more information provided regarding, credit clean up, credit card awareness, how to shop smart, dating on a budget and I am LOVING IT!!!!!!
I am sad that things had to go like this in our economy even within my own life to bring all of this information to light but it is wonderful to see and to hear so many people making light of this new frugal lifestyle. I know I have not mentioned before but I majored in fashion in college and love to watch trends and in this upcoming year I guarantee that Fashion on a budget, and shabby chic looks will be all the rage!!! It honestly makes me happy to see, if anyone missed Suze Orman's end of year episode try to catch it please! She talks about how this recession has been a blessing in disguise because it is taking this economy back to the basics. Buy what you can afford, Live within your means, and money doesn't buy everything!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
To all if I don't blog tommorrow which I don't plan on because me and Mr. Man are spending NYE together!!! I am so excited its been a few years!! So to all have a wonderful New Years

Merry Christmas to all....

Twas the night before Christmas and all through my house...........
Every Creature was stirring so we couldn't here a mouse,
Grandmother baking, Cousin fake baking and me on the computer laughing and taking
Bites of the pies, bites of the chicken,
Having no care because my child is sleeping.
In her Christmas pajamas all snuggled and warm,
Her gifts are all wrapped and ready for morn.
This night is so special to me especially because I have not gone broke
on buying for family....
I have money in the bank, money in savings
So therefore I haven't been misbehaving.

As I bid you farewell on this joyous eve
I wish alll happiness and plenty of leave
From the norms of our work week and
are family's and lives,
Take this time to enjoy this Christmas eve flight!!!

Merry Christmas Bloggers!!!

Debt Free Christmas

Well Well Well!!

It is only 4 days till Christmas, and for the first time since I have had a real job, I have not gone into debt because of this holiday and I must say I am so happy and relieved!!! This has been a wonderful holiday season, I have enjoyed friends and family, gone out and celebrated still with money saved, and a sense of satisfaction un parallel. For gifts this year, we only did stocking stuffer gifts for my immediate family and for the extended family I am only giving them boxes of homemade cookies. For my baby girl I bought a book. She is one and still has a while until I have to get caught up in the seasons purchases and besides the family is buying her tons of stuff so I am all good!! This week I am off except for tuesday so I will be blogging a little bit but if I don't get back I wish All A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! All the Blogs I read have truly taught me so much about finances.
